Kling AI prompt generator
This Kling AI prompt generator builds action-first prompts for Kling, the video model from Kuaishou, and for Wan, which reads the same structure. It leads with what moves, adds labeled scene, camera, lighting and style sentences, and ends with duration, ratio and a ready negative prompt.

How to use it
Choose Kling or Wan
Kling is selected. Set the aspect ratio and a duration that your Kling mode offers.
Write the action first
Describe the movement in the action field. Kling puts this sentence at the start of the prompt.
Add scene and camera
Describe the setting, then pick shot type, camera move, lighting, style and mood.
Sound, line and negatives
Optionally add sound and a dialogue line, then list what to avoid for the negative prompt box. Generate.
The Kling prompt formula
Kling responds well to prompts where motion is stated clearly and early. The builder follows the order subject plus action, scene, camera, lighting, style, then technical lines:
A barista pours steamed milk into a cup, forming a heart-shaped latte art. Scene: a sunlit specialty coffee shop with plants and a wooden counter. Camera: Extreme close-up, slow zoom in. Lighting: soft diffused studio lighting. Style: professional product photography, cozy atmosphere. Sound: milk pouring, quiet café chatter. Duration: 5s · Aspect ratio: 9:16 Negative prompt: blurry, distorted hands, text, watermark
For Kling, the sound line is included because newer Kling versions can generate audio; if yours does not, it is ignored or you can delete it. For Wan, the builder omits the sound line. Dialogue, if you add it, is written as “The character says: "..."”.
The order matters: when the action sits at the end of a long description, the model often renders a beautiful but static scene. Leading with the verb keeps the motion in focus.
Text-to-video versus image-to-video
Kling offers both modes, and the prompt should change with them.
- Text-to-video: the prompt must describe everything — subject, appearance, setting and style. Use all the fields.
- Image-to-video: the image already defines how things look. Focus the prompt on motion and camera: what moves, in which direction, how fast. Leave style mostly empty so it does not fight the image.
A good image-to-video prompt can be as short as “The woman slowly turns her head toward the window and smiles. Camera: static shot.” If you need help describing a still, run it through image to prompt first, then keep only the motion you want to add.
Using the negative prompt box
Kling has a separate negative prompt field, so the builder places your exclusions on their own line, ready to paste there. Useful terms for video are different from images: think about motion and overlays, not only quality.
| Problem | Terms to try |
|---|---|
| Warped bodies in motion | distorted limbs, extra fingers, morphing |
| Unwanted captions | subtitles, text, watermark, logo |
| Unstable image | flickering, jitter, blurry |
| Style drift | cartoon, 3d render |
Keep it short and specific. For bigger exclusion lists by category, use the negative prompt generator and copy the terms you need.
Getting smoother motion
- One action per clip, described with a precise verb: pours, spins, lifts, glances.
- Describe speed: “slowly”, “in one continuous motion”.
- Pick one camera move; a static camera often gives the cleanest result for detailed hand actions.
- Short clips first: test at the shortest length, then extend once the motion looks right.
- Say how the movement ends (“and stops, looking at the camera”) so the clip has a clear final pose.
- Avoid small on-screen text; letters rarely stay stable across frames.
To compare how the same shot reads in Veo 3, Sora 2 or Runway, switch the model in the AI video prompt generator. Kling's modes, lengths and features vary by version and plan, so check the options in your Kling account.
Pro tips
- Start the action field with the subject: “A barista pours…” rather than “pouring milk”.
- For image-to-video, describe only the motion and camera; let the image carry the look.
- Paste the Negative prompt line into Kling's negative field, not into the main prompt.
- Use 9:16 for vertical social clips and 16:9 for landscape scenes.
- Test the shortest duration first; it is faster and shows motion problems early.
